The Living Word

  1. Introduction
    1. Last week we covered the Content of the Word of God, the Bible. The words that Jesus spoke to His disciples, besides being "Spirit and life," are also words that accomplish the will of God. Such words and actions fulfilled all the speaking concerning the Lord Jesus in the Old Testament. Even today we need to see that God is not just a dormant God who is watching the earth from the heavens and considering how everything will turn out. Actually, God is very active in the lives of men AND even in the affairs that take place between the countries of the earth. After all, He became the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords after his ascending to be seated on the right hand of God the Father. The books of Luke, (Luke 24:511, point 5) Acts, (Acts 2:36, 23:114) and Hebrews (Hebrews 9:24, 7:26, 13:121) are so clear on this fact.
    2. This week we review verses on the Living Word.
  2. Today's Verses and Footnotes Concerning the Living Word
    1. I John 1:15 - That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life
