The Mystery of Christ in His Person - As GOD!
- Introduction
- This spring we will investigate and enjoy in God's word, the Bible, a wonderful person who the Bible calls Christ. There have been many famous and some say infamous people whose names are mentioned whenever the history of the world is studied and taught. Names such as Alexander the Great among the Greeks, Genghis Khan the Mongolian emperor who attacked China, and Confucius the Chinese Philosopher and countless others are known to most of us. But what about this man named Jesus from the small town of Nazareth in the region of Galilee in the country of Israel? This person we will find was not like any of the famous people who have lived on the earth.
- He was not of noble birth.
- He had no wealth.
- He was not a politician and did not care for power.
- He was not educated in the schools of His time.
- He did not raise an army to defeat His enemies.
- He was never married and did not raise a human family to carry on his name and legacy.
- He was not a famous philosopher.
- Although He performed miracles and healings He asked that these things not be told or made public. - So who was this man named Jesus. This week we will see that He was God!
