Man - A Vessel Created By God
- Introduction
- The world today has many different views of man and as we begin to face the fact that our existence in this world is a very short and temporary thing, we consider this matter more and more--that is, if we do not know the Bible's view.
- This semester we will investigate in the Word of God the salvation of God. This week and next we will see man as God created him. We will then see how God in His salvation wants to make Himself fully known to man and eventually bring a certain number of men into His glory.
- This week we look at what the Bible says directly about what man is. He is not just the top animal on the food chain. He is not a random event of chance that resulted in a being that has consciousness and the ability to ask "why". He is not just a pawn in a huge chess game being played by a God who makes all the moves until the game is over. Man is made in a marvelous way in which he can actually know his Creator and become a very active part of God's eternal purpose.
